Operational Skills

• Heavily participated US$105MM exploration/development/appraisal/production wells drilling project negotiations with TPAO (operator) in SE Turkey for ARCO between 1987-1997, contributed significantly towards renegotiation of drilling rig contract, saved ARCO US$5MM.
• Recommend drilling a deviated hole in Ozan Sungurlu Field in SE Turkey and recommended ARCO to make complete fracture analysis.
• Prepared Authorization of Expenditures (AFE) for all the 42 onshore exploration / production/development wells and keep tracked of all the drilling related itemized list and make sure that the drilling was under /or on budget.
• Organized and attended all the Technical Committee Meetings (TCM) / Operation Committee Meetings (OCM) related to Black Sea in Plano, TX, USA and in Ankara, Turkey and coordinated all the geological & geophysical work for the Black Sea offshore. Helped ARCO drilling team and involved heavily in the drilling operation of Limankoy-1 and Limankoy-2 offshore exploration wells and did all in the coordination between ARCO-TPAO and General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs (GDPA).
• Effectively transitioned projects to BP after the announcement of BP-ARCO merger, provided follow up work on prospect evaluation in the Black Sea Basin for BP’s office in London and asset sales of Cendere Oil Field in SE Turkey.
• Complied and prepared the Exploration License Relinquishment Reports for BP-ARCO for the Western Black Sea off-shore Licenses.
• Provided operations geologic services and served as liaison with multiple government entities during the drilling program of El Paso Production's 3 exploration wells in Eastern Mediterranean Sea (Iskenderun Bay). This was a US$40MM drilling program in offshore licenses at water depths of 100-250m. Helped insure a smoothly run operation by encouraging cooperation among a culturally diverse group involved.
• QC the offshore wells drilled by El Paso.
• Communicated all government and local authorities during all 42 onshore and 5 offshore well drilling campaign.
• Worked as an operation Geologist for the Genel Energy / Addax joint venture’s well in the Taq Taq oil field in Northern Iraq.
